"Future Flows"

Class description: This class will incorporate Steven's extensive training in classical dance and transfer that technique to the pole. Pole dancing has evolved and so have you, so take your hard earned strength and flexibility and apply it to new and creative approaches to pole dancing. "Future Flows" is a combination of static and spin pole techniques designed to answer questions about fluidity, grace and artistry. Class consists of building flows together step by step focusing on creative transitions, original tricks, and movement/performance quality. Expect up to 2 people per pole.

Class description: This tricks class will focus on unique transitions on and off the pole, innovative aerial tricks, Chinese pole techniques, as well as movement that transforms the human body into beautifully strange shapes. This will be a barefoot class, as we’ll be executing tricks that require all parts of the human body -- including the bottom of your foot!

Class description: This 2-hour workshop covers any moves you’ve been dying to learn so start your wish lists now. Jenyne will come with a variety of new moves and transitions you might not already know and all the tricks of the trade to get them accomplished. She focuses on slow, melting movement, controlling and flowing into each purposeful pose. Jenyne also answers all your questions at the end of the workshop and loves to take fun photos!

"Spin Sister"

Class description: This 2-hour workshop will focus on spinning pole and also spinning on static pole. You will learn take off and landing, how to lengthen your flight time with each spin, the importance of and how to condition your grip, what moves are good for spinning verses static, where the momentum comes from, the benefits of spinning pole, and an all-around basic understanding of graceful movement around the pole. Get ready to be dizzy lizzy!

Level 1 - Flexibility Intensive
Drawing from techniques used in the acrobatic art of contortion, this intensive class focuses on full body flexibility and range of motion including: splits, shoulder and back flexibility. Students will learn exercises to increase flexibility, strength and muscle control as well as proper stretching, breathing and alignment techniques. All levels welcome!
Level 2 - Contortion Technique
This workshop is designed for serious students who are striving to reach a high-level of skill and put those skills to work on stage. Students will learn both active and passive flexibility exercises, control and skill development including: balances on one leg, forearms and hands. This is contortion, not your mother's stretching class! *Must have a good working split (preferably all 3) and be able to execute a backbend unassisted.

Stephanie Abrams is the founder and owner of Kinetic Theory Circus Arts, LA's only theatrical circus training studio. Drawing from her 13 years of experience training, performing, coaching and directing contortion and circus arts as well as 18 years of mime (silent theatre), she has created a unique approach to both circus and physical theatre training and performance. Stephanie coaches many pole dancers, including some of the top girls in the US, and custom tailors her curriculum to the needs of each athlete/artist. Double Trouble
A 90 minute engergetic, fun and funky pole workshop where you will learn intermediate/advanced doubles tricks on the same pole. We will learn spinning combinations, inverted moves, aerial hangs, acrobalance and double dance choreography, combined into a short routine. What to bring? A dance partner! Enrol with a friend, partner, lover or anyone else! What to wear? Matching costumes, of course! Come in anything that makes you feel good about yourself and be prepared to learn some hot new tricks straight from Australia. The class will finish with a showcase performance from Zahra and a small gift for each student.
About Zahra Stardust
Zahra Stardust is a pole dancer, trapeze artist, burlesque performer and fire twirler intent on spreading love around the world from upside down. Winner of the Open Pairs division in the Australian Pole Championships 2009, winner of the NSW Sexpo Pole Competition 2009, a finalist in Miss Pole Dance Australia 2008, Most Unique Entertainer in Miss Nude NSW 2009, and international feature at the Amsterdam Burlesque Festival 2009, Zahra is a lover of all things subversive, circus and theatrical.

With an unashamed penchant for the kooky and bizarre, she has had the pleasure of pouring icing and candy over her body, painting herself in glow plaint, playing with fire, flying around with pink metallic Wings of Isis, tying and untying herself from fetish rope, dancing with bubbling cups of dry ice, adorning herself in latex superhero costumes and posing nude for animal rights campaigns.
