Level 1 - Flexibility Intensive

Drawing from techniques used in the acrobatic art of contortion, this intensive class focuses on full body flexibility and range of motion including: splits, shoulder and back flexibility. Students will learn exercises to increase flexibility, strength and muscle control as well as proper stretching, breathing and alignment techniques. All levels welcome!

Level 2 - Contortion Technique

This workshop is designed for serious students who are striving to reach a high-level of skill and put those skills to work on stage. Students will learn both active and passive flexibility exercises, control and skill development including: balances on one leg, forearms and hands. This is contortion, not your mother's stretching class! *Must have a good working split (preferably all 3) and be able to execute a backbend unassisted.

Enrol with a friend, partner, lover or anyone else! What to wear? Matching costumes, of course! Come in anything that makes you feel good about yourself and be prepared to learn some hot new tricks straight from Australia. The class will finish with a showcase performance from Zahra and a small gift for each student.

With an unashamed penchant for the kooky and bizarre, she has had the pleasure of pouring icing and candy over her body, painting herself in glow plaint, playing with fire, flying around with pink metallic Wings of Isis, tying and untying herself from fetish rope, dancing with bubbling cups of dry ice, adorning herself in latex superhero costumes and posing nude for animal rights campaigns. She loves promoting alternative and autonomous portrayals of women.s fantastic multiplicity and diversity onstage.
