How fit do I need to be to attend class?

Not at all! The training is suitable for all fitness levels, all ages, all shapes and all sizes. The classes are small and we will adapt to each and everyone's prior exercise experience (or more often than not, lack of) and condition. Please remember: everyone in your class is a beginner. But don't worry, you'll definitely feel the workout!

Are the tricks very hard to learn?

No one expects you to nail everything at once. If that was even possible there would be no reason to teach! The only thing you are expected to do is have fun. It's neither a team sport nor a competition. Only your own success counts and everyone advances at their own pace. Although we can guarantee that you will be both surprised and proud over the amazing things you can achieve every time you nail a new move.

What should I wear to class?

Any comfortable fitness wear that allows you to move freely. Shoes and socks aren't necessary as we train in bare feet. It can be wise to bring a small towel to wipe sweat from the skin that is in contact with the pole (such as palms of the hands). You will need it!

What should I NOT wear to class?

Oils and lotions! They will make the pole slippery which can be hazardous both for you and other students. And please make sure to remove any rings, watches or bracelets. They scratch the pole and the pole scratches them. It also compromises your grip.

Where are you located?

Currently we only offer classes in Stockholm, Sweden. You will find our address and contact info in the contact section.

Are there any injuries or conditions that can't be combined with poledance?

The wrists are given an exceptionally heavy challenge in this practice. If you are experiencing problems with your wrists, hands or forearms, we would like to discourage you from stressing them any further.
Please, consult your doctor if you have any reason to worry about how your health could be affected by exercise of the gymnastic kind.
Additionally, poledance is not an appropriate form of exercise during pregnancy.

Can I book a class as an activity during our hen party/bachelor party/birthday party/other event?

When can I attend a "taster class"?

Taster classes are held prior to the start of every new set of courses (meaning: approximately every two months). These are first and foremost for those who are thinking of joining a full course but aren't quite sure if they want to enroll for the entire length. You can keep a look-out in the news section or subscribe to our newsletter to be kept updated on upcoming taster classes.

I would like to give someone a course/class/workshop as a present. Can I do that?

It can be hard to know which time and day the recipient of your present can make it to a class. That's why we have a gift card that the recipient can use to book a course/class/workshop of their choice.
Which value the gift card has is entirely up to you.

To purchase a gift card: email us at info@poledance.se with "Gift card" in the subject line. In the body of the email you will write:

- How much you would like the gift card to be worth
-Which address it should be sent to (meaning it will probably be your address since we assume that you would like to give the card in person)

Our reply will feature a unique code and our usual PG-number. When your payment has been processed the gift card will arrive in the mail, beautifully wrapped and ready to be given to your recipient.

I have received a gift card. How do I use it?

There's a unique code on your card. When you book a course, that code can be applied in the discount field. Thus subtracting the sum from your course fee, leaving you only having to pay the remaining part (if anything at all remains, that is).

How does Open Pole work?

OP are two scheduled hours at a time, specifically for individual practice. You can come and go whenever you like during this two hour period. This is for those who can't have a pole at home - you can use the studio!
Individual practice refers to you training alone, without the help of an instructor. For this reason, it is assumed that all OP attendees have at least a basic understanding of poledance. As in, attendees should have begun at least a beginner's level course before coming in for OP.
One OP session is 50SEK cash. Or 30SEK with the discount card.
